The scarves are on and the frost is settling, and everyone who has visited Broadmead in the last week or so has no doubt seen that Bristol’s Christmas Market is setting up once again. The joke is often made that the day after Halloween sees a swift dropping of all things autumnal and everyone is immediately surrounded by Christmas trees and tinsel – but you can never be too prepared! A blog post will be up in the next few days with our choice picks from each shop this Christmas, but this post details something unique that will be making The Arcade its home over the winter…
The incredibly talented Sam Pierpoint has come up with a piece of art that epitomises Christmas in Bristol. It is beautiful, it is full of light, it is inclusive, enjoyable for all, dramatic, visionary, unique, and detailed to look like our wonderful city in the run up to Christmas. The work sits in a window at The Arcade, open to all who wish to see it, and we all truly believe it will add to the magic of a Bristol Christmas. Make sure you pop in on your way to and from the Christmas Markets, take photos, bring friends, and let us know what you think!
We are very proud to have this work in our Arcade, and hope that you will enjoy it as much as we do! The work was created as part of Visit Bristol’s Christmas campaign, so if you like it make sure you visit their site for some suggestions of what to do over the winter period.
