Depending on your heritage, you may or may not know that the 19th of March is Italian Father's Day! Whether you're an Italian family looking to celebrate your father, a religious fan of St. Joseph's Day, or just a fan of delicious, custard and cream-filled zeppole, there's plenty of reasons to come down to Taste of Napoli this month.
St. Joseph's Day is the 19th of March; the feast day of St. Joseph - the legal, human father of Jesus Christ. So, it makes sense that it would also be a great time to celebrate a general Father's Day, as they do in countries like Spain, Portugal, and Italy.
A classic tradition for celebrating St. Joseph's Day is making and eating zeppole! A zeppola di San Giuseppe is a puffy, crunchy fried dough cake, topped with powdered sugar and filled with delicious homemade custard.
Every year, Taste of Napoli bring out their highly-anticipated zeppole di San Giuseppe - and this year is no different. But, never content to rest on their laurels, ToN are offering three different, exciting flavours of zeppola: the classic custard & cherry zeppola, a decadent hazelnut flavour - and a delicious and unique ricotta & pistachio edition of the beloved pastry.
These cakes sell out fast - but Taste of Napoli have thought ahead to offer pre-orders for their dedicated fans and newcomers alike. Orders can be put in from Monday 11th March through to the day itself, Tuesday 19th March. Taste of Napoli have also just updated their opening hours to be open every day of the week, so you can get your Neapolitan fix every day!
Remember though - fathers aren't just for Father's Day, and neither are authentic, highly-rated, family-run Neapolitan restaurants situated in the heart of Bristol at a beautiful Grade II*-listed Georgian shopping arcade. So why not show your dad (Italian or not) just how much you care by taking him to Taste of Napoli every day for a fresh delicious coffee - and maybe even a classic slice of Neapolitan Taste of Napoli pizza?
